Rangers see three goal lead vanish in London

The Kitchener Rangers had a good start in London, but they would like to rewrite the ending.

The Rangers blew a three goal lead, losing 5-4 to the Knights at The Bud Gardens on Thursday night.

Victor Mete scored the game winning goal with less than a minute to play in the third.

Rangers Head Coach Jay McKee tells 570 News, the tide changed with some penalties in the third – “You know, we go down 5 on 3, they get a goal and some momentum and that can be the tipping point. When
you give a team that’s as good as London, has a winning culture, knows how to win, that kind of momentum in the third period, you’re putting yourself in trouble.”

“We just weren’t playing in their zone as much, our passes weren’t clean coming out. We’ve got a young group, so that’s just something we have to work on going forward.” said defenceman Doug Blaisdell, who scored his first of the season.

Kitchener’s other goals were scored by Jeremy Bracco (7), Joseph Garreffa (2) and Dylan Seitz (3).

It will be a packed house when the Rangers host Hamilton on Friday. You can catch the pre-game show at 7pm on 570 News.

The Bulldogs are 7 and 2 and third overall in the OHL.
