LRT construction progressing in Waterloo Region

Driving through Waterloo Region the past two years has been challenging especially if you take a route under LRT construction.
We took a ride through those major areas to see how the project is progressing.
King Street and Victoria was a big closure that has just re-opened however, part of King is still closed for the construction of the overpass.
Wilson, from Fairway to Kingsway, is open in Kitchener, work continues on the LRT tracks at Fairview Park Mall to build the ION stop and installation of the LRT tracks.
Parkside at Northfield is open in Waterloo, crews continue work on building the Conestoga ION stop, the driver’s facility and the Northfield ION stop.
Northfield off-ramps from Highway 85 are re-opened now and work is progressing well through that area.
You’ll still find closures in Uptown Waterloo, King from Erb to William will be closed until late November.
