Charges are pending after an 18-year-old Kitchener woman was hit by a bus in Kitchener.
Police say the woman was walking along Ira Needles between Victoria and University around 8 a.m. when she was struck by a Grand River Transit bus.
Staff Sgt. Jim Strand says the woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
“The woman has chipped teeth, bruising and some abrasions. The impact cracked the bus’s windshield– and I’m surprised that the woman didn’t receive more serious injuries.”
The road was closed for approximately two hours as police conducted a collision investigation.
Police say charges have not been laid at this time, but they are pending.
