New Kitchener theatre opens Friday

The wait is finally over, the new Cineplex Theatre on Fairway Road in Kitchener is open to the public on Friday.
“There’s a high level on the theatre, six traditional auditoriums, one huge Ultra AVX auditorium with D-Box motion seats, and it also has a VIP cinema,” says Sarah Van Lange, Director of Communications at Cineplex.
The Ultra AVX theatre has 293 seats, and the VIP cinema is an adult only auditorium complete with a VIP lounge where patrons can have food and alcoholic beverages in the lounge, or brought to their theatre seats, which Lange says fully recline.
“On the traditional side too, the chairs have been upgraded,” says Lange. “They have extra wide luxury lounge chairs through the entire auditorium and they are really, really comfortable.”
Lange says this is one of the most anticipated Cineplex openings she has ever seen, and she knows residents will be happy to have not only a theatre back on Fairway Road, but having one back with such a huge upgrade.
