Two Kitchener men face drug trafficking charges

RCMP have arrested what they call “two high level drug dealers” in our area.
Two Kitchener men were arrested near Riverside Park in Cambridge around 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
Police found 250 grams of heroin and 530 grams of crystal meth in a backpack one of the men was wearing. RCMP say the street value of the combined drugs is over $45,000.
Both men were searched following their arrest and $3,580 in cash was found.
Trevor Ballard and Thomas Crystal, both 32-years-old, face drug trafficking charges.
Corporal Louise Savard tells 570 News RCMP were in Kitchener on Robert Ferrie Drive searching the home of one of the men.
“I don’t know how long they were there, but they were there and searched the residence.” Savard says “a small quantity of drugs were seized as well as a some cash.”
The two men attended a bail hearing Wednesday afternoon, their next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
The investigation, Project OUTLAND, dates back to March 2016.
