Licence plate stickers rising to $120

By The Canadian Press

The price to renew licence plate stickers in Ontario is going up again.

In a statement to C-T-V News, a Ministry of Transportation official confirms the cost of a one-year licence sticker renewal will be 120 dollars for southern Ontario residents, up from the current cost of 108 dollars.

For people living in northern Ontario, the cost will only be 60 dollars, up from 54.

The province attributes the rise to the increased cost of maintaining highway infrastructure across Ontario.

The increase takes effect on September 1st.
