GRCA warns of increased flow in local waterways

The Grand River Conservation Authority is asking us to use caution around local waterways, after an intense early morning storm increased river flows.

Rain between midnight on Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday caused a rapid flow response in Laurel Creek through the City of Waterloo, and through Schneider’s Creek in Kitchener.

Flows are expected to peak throughout the region later today, and will remain above normal summer levels throughout the weekend.
