The Kitchener Panthers managed to snap the Red Sox four game winning streak last night in Brantford, 6-1.
Kitchener scored six runs on 11 hits and didn’t need the long ball to earn their 19th win of the season.
It’s Kitchener’s second win in as many nights.
Left fielder Mike Gordner came away with two RBI’s and it was a ninth inning wild pitch that secured the victory for the Panthers.
Matt McGovern is now 4-0 on the season. He pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up four hits while striking out five batters.
The Panthers are now only a half game back of the first place London Majors in the IBL heading into their matchup tonight at 7 p.m. at Jack Couch Park.
