Weber Street in Waterloo will close on Monday from Dutton to Albert for LRT work.
Lauren McGirr with GrandLinq tells us about the closure.
“Weber Street from Dutton to Albert will close on Monday for approximately three weeks. As part of GrandLinq’s work, we will be upgrading and replacing the sanitary services on Dutton– which requires tying into the Weber and Dutton intersection. We will be removing asphalt, doing excavation and then restoration as well as road reconstruction.”
McGirr says while the closure is in place, access to businesses on Dutton will be maintained as well as pedestrian access around the work zone.
“Access to the local businesses on Dutton will be available from Parkside and Northfield. If you’re trying to get around the closure, your best bet is to use the detour– which is Weber to Parkside to Bearinger to Albert, and that will get you right back onto Weber Street.”
McGirr says construction will be happening daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday, although some Saturday and extended hours may be required.
