Man charged with arson after Friday morning fire in Kitchener

A Kitchener man faces a charge of arson following an early morning blaze in the city.

Waterloo Regional Police say the fire was started in a Water Street North residence around three this morning.

The Kitchener Fire Department quickly contained the blaze, apparently limiting damage to under $5,000.

A 37 year-old man is charged with arson and mischief.
