Vigil planned to remember 43 horses killed in fire

The horse racing community will come together next week for a two hour vigil to remember the 43 horses that were killed in a fire on Monday night and extend support to the owners, trainers and grooms affected.
All those planning to attend can meet in front of Classy Lane Training Centre on Tuesday from 7-9 pm.
There will be no flames at the vigil as people are asked to bring flashlights or battery operated candles.
180 electronic candles have also been donated by Ideal Training Centre and Alec at Giant Tiger in Acton.
No donations will be accepted either – anyone wishing to donate can do so online.
OPP will be on scene to direct traffic and assist with parking.

No cause for the deadly fire has been released. Damages have been estimated as high as $6 million.
