Fraud suspect darts into traffic in Cambridge

A harrowing experience for a motorist in Cambridge.
Waterloo Regional Police say they were called to a financial business on Hespeler Road around 9:30pm Wednesday about a man allegedly trying to cash a stolen cheque.
Police say the suspect fled on foot when they arrived and darted into traffic, running between moving vehicles.
Police say he eventually jumped into a car that was stopped at a red light and made it appear he had a weapon.
Police say the motorist was not hurt.
Police say a suspect was arrested and faces charges including robbery, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, threats, fraud and possession of stolen property.
