Ontario Fire Marshal’s office investigating fire at LRT storage facility

The Waterloo Fire Department says the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office is now part of the investigation into the blaze on Dutton Drive.
The fire broke out late yesterday afternoon at the Light Rail Transit construction site in north Waterloo.
The blaze, at the operations, maintenance and storage facility being built on Dutton Drive, sent a plume of thick smoke into the air around 5 p.m.
It’s believed to have been contained to the roof area.
No one was injured.
