Luke Opilka kicked aside 30 shots for the Kitchener Rangers as they blanked the Storm 2-0 in Guelph on Sunday night.
It was also Kitchener’s first win in Guelph since March of 2013.
“…It’s really easy when you know the boys are playing for you and I’ve got great D in front of me…We’ve got a good thing going out there.” Opilka told 570 News after notching his first shutout in the OHL.
The victory also extended Kitchener’s winning streak to four games. The Rangers are now within three points of the first place Erie Otters.
Brandon Robinson and Brian Brosnan scored for the Rangers.
Kitchener visits Sarnia on Thursday night. 570 News has the pre-game show at 6:30pm.
