The pool at Kitchener’s Kiwanis Park is getting a makeover and council is looking for feedback from the public about what the new swimming area should look like.
Renovations were proposed to help improve filtration, infrastructure and the overall appearance of the swimming pool.
Two options have been outlined with sample images on the City’s website. They are asking the public to vote for which concept they like best.
Option A: The design of the pool will remain the same as the existing pool, but will include improvements to the infrastructure and filter system. This option will be an upgrade, but won’t significantly change the layout or design of the pool.
Option B: The design of the pool would maintain the beach-like entry and feature a smaller body of water that gradually deepens to allow for swimming lessons and lane swims as well as a larger deck area.
