The average price for gasoline in Waterloo Region is expected to fall below a dollar a litre overnight.

Roger McKnight, from our gas price watcher, Enpro, forecasts the latest decline.

It comes as the price for oil continues to slide.

However, the latest drop could be shortlived, with some forecasting oil and wholesale gas prices will rise shortly thereafter by about 3-and-a-half per cent.
