Two arrested after traffic stop in Guelph

Two people from Guelph were arrested after an officer pulled them over for running a red light.
Police say after the officer pulled them over he noticed the validation tag on the plate was stolen and that the driver had tried to mislead police with his identity.
The driver, a 33-year-old man has been charged with possession of stolen property, obstruct police and breach of probation.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with fail to stop at a red light and driving without a licence.
The passenger, a 22-year-old woman has been charged with possession of stolen property.
