Local Nepal earthquake relief project raises over $50,000

Mennonite Central Committee’s Nepal earthquake relief project spearheaded by the Grand Philharmonic Choir, has raised more than $50,000.

A benefit concert was held Sunday featuring 100 musicians including members of the K-W Symphony and over 500 audience members.

Together they raised $25,000, which the federal government pledged to match.

All funds will be going to help survivors of the earthquakes.
