Man arrested and charged after attempted robbery in Kitchener

A 33-year-old Kitchener man has been arrested and charged after an attempted robbery in that city.
Around 3:30 p.m on Tuesday, police say the man tried to break in and rob a home on Cedar Street.
Police say he had an edged weapon, but left in a car empty handed.
Then this morning before 11, the man was arrested in a car on Park Street in Kitchener.
Officers found $30 thousand dollars worth of cocaine, heroin and meth in the vehicle and $4000 cash.
The man faces a slew of charges and has been held for a bail hearing.
They are attempt robbery, weapons dangerous, possession of a prohibited weapon, 4 counts of breaching probation, driving disqualified, possession of proceeds of crime, 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and 5 counts of drive suspend.
