Fountain bridge coming down, 401 closure starts 10pm

The 401 will be fully closed this weekend from 10pm Saturday to 9am Sunday in order to demolish the Fountain Street bridge between King and Hespeler.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured along Hespeler to Maple Grove then to Sportsworld Drive along Fountain.
Highway 8 will also be closed between the 401 and Sportsworld during the length of the demolition.
Prior and following the overnight closure, motorists can expect closure of one or two lanes in each direction along the 401 in the Highway 8/ Hespeler area.
