WRPS searching for man after armed robbery in Kitchener

Regional Police are looking for a man after a robbery at a Kitchener convenience store.
This past Saturday, a man robbed the Little Short Stop Store on 645 Westmount Road East.
Police say he entered the store and demanded money while brandishing a large knife.
He left with an undisclosed amount of money.
He’s described as a black male, in his early 20’s, around 5’7″ with a thin to average build, wearing an entirely red hooded sweater, with red tie strings for the hood. He was also wearing a black bandana with white paisley design covering his nose and mouth, white gloves, and dark pants.
He was holding a large knife with a black handle.
Police are requesting assistance from anyone who may have witnessed or has information relating to this incident.
They are asked to call Central Division Detectives at 519-653-7700 extension 4499 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. No one was injured.
