Christopher Fitzgerald and Tim Kazurinsky to join Jim Parsons on Broadway in ‘An Act of God’

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Jim Parsons has gotten his Broadway angels — Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald and “Police Academy” star Tim Kazurinsky.

Producers on Monday said Fitzgerald will play the Angel Michael and Kazurinsky will play the Angel Gabriel opposite the “The Big Bang Theory” star playing God in a stage adaptation of the humour book “The Last Testament: A Memoir by God.”

The play, called “An Act of God,” is adapted by its author, David Javerbaum. Two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello” will direct the show, which begins performances May 5 at the Studio 54 theatre.

Fitzgerald’s Broadway credits include “Finian’s Rainbow,” The Merchant of Venice” and “Young Frankenstein.” Kazurinsky was a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” from 1981-84 and played Officer Sweetchuck in three “Police Academy” films.
