The morning commute tomorrow could be a dicey one.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
It says a system developing in the States could bring freezing rain to the area tomorrow.
It says it will arrive in the extreme southwest towards dawn and then spread northeastwards.
It warns some areas could get a heavy coating – 2 to 5 millimetres of ice accumulation is possible.
Officials say surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. They’re asking people to take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
