All clear given after vehicle abandoned containing hazardous materials

Some residents in a residential area of Kitchener were asked to keep their windows closed as a precaution after a car containing hazardous materials was abandoned in the area.
Police say first responders showed up to the scene on Morgan Avenue on Sunday. It is believed that the contents were a small amount of household chemicals, some of which had been mixed.
“We have another partner agency looking into a possible related family dispute” says Olaf Heinzel, WRPS spokesperson. “The driver of this vehicle… we are looking into the possibility that he might have been trying to bring harm to himself.”
The man has since turned up at hospital and is fine.
An investigation into the circumstances is still ongoing.
