12:00 – Climate Change
John Godfrey, special advisor for climate change & Chair, Climate Action Group, Government of Ontario
The province is taking action on climate change by creating a Climate Action Group. The mandate: to provide strategic advice and make recommendations to the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change. The group will advise the Minister, Glen Murray, on effective climate change actions that will help Ontario meet its greenhouse gas reduction goals and transition to a prosperous, low-carbon economy. This advice will build on feedback received through the government’s public consultations (available on their website) on climate change. The climate action group includes academics, business and civic leaders which will meet quarterly – and will meet twice a year with Québec’s climate advisory panel to support work between the two provinces.

He suffered the injury yesterday morning while doing a bunt drill at spring training. Stroman, a 2012 first-round pick, appeared in 26 games for the Blue Jays last season. The 23-year-old native of Medford, N.Y., started 20 games and finished 11-6 with a 3.65 earned-run average.

12:30 – Chef D in Studio
I was walking through my neighbourhood the other day…and I smelled something I haven’t smelled in a long time – BBQ. A sure sign that winter is finally coming to an end…and that spring is just around the corner. This week has been one of the warmest in a while – beautiful and sunny on Monday…and a guaranteed high of plus 5 today. On Sunday, we’re expected to get up to 6 degrees. To help shake of the hold of winter and to welcome the warmer weather – Chef D joins us in studio with a summer favourite: burgers.
