Special weather statement: Potential for freezing rain on Tuesday

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Waterloo Region and much of southern Ontario.

It warns of the potential of freezing rain on Tuesday.

It’s tracking a system heading our way from the American Plains – a system that could see us dealing with snow or ice pellets and then freezing rain.

570 News Weather Specialist John Wilson says there will likely be 5 to 7-cm of snow before the freezing rain arrives.
