Maureen Bayless, author, ‘numberphobe’
An interesting journey for a Vancouver author…Maureen Bayless has written ‘This House is Haunted’ and ‘No fixed address’- she also started a blog ‘momlearnsmath.com’ – and it’s exactly what it sounds like. The self-described number phobic mother raised four math whizzes – but could never understand the concepts herself. She enrolled in Math 10 – where she re-learned everything above Grade 3 arithmetic. She joins us to talk about what it was like learning math…and what impact and difference it has made in her life.
