11:00 – Book of Negros Author at Laurier
Lawrence Hill, author, Book of Negros
Acclaimed Canadian author Lawrence Hill will visit Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo campus later today where he will interact with students and present a special screening of an episode from the CBC television adaptation of his 2007 novel, The Book of Negroes. Hill will take part in a question-and-answer session with students and guests in the afternoon. In the evening, Hill will be joined by Clement Virgo, director and co-writer to host a special screening of the mini-series’ third episode in the evening.
11:30 – Video Game Violence

Earlier this week, we couldn’t get to all your calls and e-mails about a new game scheduled to be released online this spring. Hatred’ is an upcoming shooter video game developed by Destructive Creations where the character is armed with an arsenal of weapons and aims to kill as many people as possible. In the trailer, the game promotes killing innocent bystanders as well as Police.
