Woodlawn Rd E/Woolwich St named worst intersection in 2014 in Guelph

Guelph police have released collision statistics from 2014 and Woodlawn Rd E at Woolwich Street proved to be the worst intersection for collisions last year.

Not far behind was Edinburgh Road South/Wellington Street West and College Avenue West/Edinburgh Road South.

In total, 2,759 collisions were reported – that only slightly higher than the previous year (2,723).

The worst month to drive in was January with 22% of collisions happening at the beginning of the year.

And 30% of the total number of collisions happened on a Wednesday.

The worst time to drive was, not surprisingly, the drive home – around 3-5 pm.

The full report can be found here.
