11:00 – Rangers Trade

It’s OHL Trade Deadline day. The Kitchener Rangers made a pair of deals yesterday. The team acquired overage goaltender Jake Paterson from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for Saginaw’s second round pick in 2018, and their third round pick in 2017. The Rangers also traded overage centre Curtis Meighan to the Ottawa 67′s. In return the team gets Ottawa’s eighth round pick in 2017.
11:30 – Cosby heckled in London

Bill Cosby’s performance last night in London was briefly interrupted by a heckler who called the 77-year-old comedian a “rapist.” Cosby paused and asked the audience to be patient as police escorted the heckler from the theatre before resuming his routine. He performs tonight in Hamilton, the last stop in his three-city tour of Canada. A London Free Press reporter, Dale Carruthers tweeted that we was kicked out for filming the arrest of the heckler.
11:45 – Ghomeshi – new charges

Former C-B-C radio host Jian Ghomeshi remains free on bail after three new sexual assault charges were laid against him in a Toronto court yesterday. (3 new alleged victims have come forward) Ghomeshi had nothing to say after he was remanded on 100 thousand dollars bail, and is to appear in court again on February 4th. The former “Q” host now faces seven counts of sexual assault and one of overcoming resistance by choking. His lawyer, Marie Henein, says Ghomeshi will be pleading not guilty.
