Bill Cosby is set to perform at Kitchener’s Centre in the Square, tonight.
It’s the first of three Ontario shows this week amid mounting allegations of sexual assault against the comedian.
The embattled TV star has promised fans the “show of their life” if they attend but a number of people have announced plans to boycott the performances.
At least 15 women have accused the 77-year-old comedian of sexually assaulting them, allegations he has denied through his lawyer.
Meantime, a group of community members who oppose the Cosby appearance, continue to sell tickets for an event billed as “Voices Carry.”
It starts at 7pm at Dallas in downtown Kitchener. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Funds raised from that event will go towards services for sexual assault victims.
570 News will have extensive coverage of the Cosby show and Voices Carry. You can also follow our Twitter feed for updates.
Rogers TV will also air a special report: Cosby in K-W, starting at 6pm. It will repeat at 9:30pm. The hour-long special will take an in-depth look at the community’s reaction as embattled comedian Bill Cosby prepares to take the stage in Kitchener.
Cosby is also scheduled to perform in London tomorrow and Hamilton on Friday.
