Mudslide blocks EB 403 in Hamilton

Cleanup is underway in Hamilton, after a mudslide blocked the eastbound lanes of the 403.
O-P-P say the mudslide at the bottom of the Ancaster Hill was caused by a broken water main.
Police have closed the eastbound lanes until the water is shut off and the mess cleaned up. At this point, there’s no word on how long that will take.
Meantime, traffic is backed up and motorists are reporting long delays.
