Kitchener boxer Mandy Bujold lost a close match Friday at the 2014 AIBA Women’s World Championships in South Korea.
England’s Lisa Whiteside won a 2-1 split decision.
Bujold feels she fought a great fight, adding she was shocked the decision did not go in her favour. “I landed the cleaner punches and even though Lisa was aggressive I was able to show control and use my speed to keep her off balance.”
Bujold says she will take a few weeks off and then start training for the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto.
