One Warm Coat Campaign looking for more coats

The ‘One Warm Coat Campaign’ ended Wednesday, but officials with the program are hopeful more people will step up and continue to donate.

Officials say demand is on the rise, and they’re at about half the amount they recieved this time last year.

“Any kind of winter coat at all, from formal to casual, whatever, just something to keep the people warm” says Major Miriam Stevens, Executive Director at the Salvation Army in Kitchener.

The Rogers Kitchener Radio group partners with Jiffy Lube to support the Salvation Army for the campaign, which saw a decrease in donations this year.
