Recent time change making for darker drive home

With the recent time change and it being darker earlier, drivers are having a hard time seeing pedestrians out on road ways.
Staff Sergeant Jim Strand with the Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Branch spoke with 570 News and has some advice for those walking during twilight hours.
“Drivers take a while to adjust to this sort of change. Pedestrians have to be just as aware when they are crossing that people may not actually see them. We always recommend for pedestrians to make eye contact with the driver before crossing the road.”
Last year, there were four fatal collisions involving pedestrian, all taking place between the months of October and December.
