Two drivers charged with impaired during Oktoberfest RIDE program

The numbers are in from the Waterloo Regional Police Oktoberfest RIDE program.

Police stopped close to 12,000 vehicles – almost 2,000 more than they checked during the festival in 2013.

Two motorists were charged with impaired driving this year, up from one in 2013.

Three day suspensions held steady at four.

Over 80 milligram charges totalled 4, up from 2 a year earlier.
