Boxing star Mandy Bujold is in Kitchener today.
Bujold who trains in Kitchener will be speaking with residents about the 2015 Pan Am games and how they can be involved.
3 thousand people from over 130 communities in the province will be selected to carry to torch in the 41 day cross Canada relay.
Bujold was a guest on the 570 news midday show and says the Commonwealth games she competed in this past summer were very different.
She says there were many countries she had to search for on her phone.
She says will be applying to be a torch bearer for the Pan Am games in Toronto next year by applying on line.
Her ultimate goal is gold at the 2016 Olympics.
