BlackBerry will release it’s second quarter, fiscal 2015 results today and analysts are predicting a relatively good book for the company.
Most experts say they’re predicting sales above $900 million, which could either be flat or a small decline from last quarter.
“I expect to see BlackBerry have a solid cash position” says Maribel Lopez, Analyst with Lopez Research. “I expect that they have been adding cash. I expect them to maintain the margin control. Perhaps not any advances in margin from what they had last quarter, but I expect them to be consistent with that.”
Analysts say results should show the company is maintaining their cash flow, but investors will be looking at the numbers for proof that BlackBerry is turning around.
“I think investors don’t have the stomach to wait for change” says Lopez. “I think that some people will be disappointed that they haven’t made a transition that knocks Samsung off it’s post, but I think that was unrealistic.”
BlackBerry unveiled it’s new smart phone on Wednesday, called “The Passport” but it won’t affect this book, but could impact the next quarterly results depending on sales.
Analysts also say this is good news for shares, and depending on today’s results, prices could jump.
