We could be in for record heat today

The up and down summer of 2014 is heading back up with a scorcher in the forecast today.

A heat warning is in effect for Waterloo Region and much of southern Ontario.

We are expecting a high today of 31 which is just shy of the record of 32.2 which was set in 1945.

The humidity will make it feel like 40 degrees at times.

Cooler weather is on the horizon tomorrow with a more seasonal high of 21 expected.
