Fanelli back on the ice in “black and white”

A former Kitchener Ranger may be wearing black and white on the ice in the future.

After attending an officials orientation camp help in Buffalo a few weeks ago, Ben Fanelli says he’s ready to potentially be a member of the “third team” on the ice.

He worked as a linesman yesterday during the team’s training camp scrimmage.

Fanelli told the Record he is still keeping his options open.

The 21-year-old made his mark on the blue line, playing for the Rangers for 5 years. He is currently studying communications at Wilfrid Laurier University and running “Head Strong.” A program that raises awareness for brain injuries.
