World Fastball Tournament hits Kitchener

Fastball’s elite will be in Kitchener for the World Fastball Tournament.
The International Softball Congress chose the city to host the event for the fourth time.
Games will begin tomorrow at Budd Park and the Peter Hallman Ball Yard.
Spokesperson Matt Allan says there are 3 divisions with a total of 63 teams including some high ranking Kitchener ones.
The Kitchener Hallman Twins are in the top 5, the Kitchener Cubs are another highly ranked team and Allan says there are local teams in all divisions.
Allan says they are expecting around 50 thousand people over the course of the tournament.
There are several kickoff events being held tonight including a game between the Kitchener Rangers and the Media.
