Cameron is a partner at Ironspan Embedded Executives, which provides consulting & mentorship to high growth companies. In the past he has been an Entrepreneur in Residence at Communitech and was the CEO of Unitron. He has served on a number of Boards including TribeHR, Aveus and Client Outlook. He began his career as an engineer at IBM and has an engineering degree from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Andrea Gilbrook has been working in the Human Resources field for over 10 years. After graduating from University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Arts and Business, she has had progressive HR roles in the High Tech and Manufacturing sectors including roles at BlackBerry and OpenText. She is currently working at Communitech on the Tech Jobs Connex Team that assists former BlackBerry employees in their job search. In her role, she works with employers who are looking to hire and connect them with the amazing talent.

Ryan Hickey, CEO and Co-Founder of eleven-x – A seasoned techie trying his hand at entrepreneurship. Prior to this adventure, Ryan spent 15 years proving himself as a strong technical and people leader in the smartphone research and development division of BlackBerry. Eleven-x provides products and services to enable our customers to integrate wireless technology into their products.

Isabel Avery is a boutique-marketing firm led by 2 female partners with a reputation for driving results. After working in senior corporate positions for several years, the duo came together to pursue a dream. Thriving on the challenge and hectic pace of ambitious careers, these women found a way to do it on their terms. Leaving a hard working legacy for their kids motivates the founders. They also hope to encourage younger women to be leaders – to be fearless in the balance of professional commitment and personal fulfillment. Carrie Heath and Carrie Lepage collectively have over 25 years experience in tech marketing, working for brands such as BlackBerry, Xerox and HP. Faced with the option of relocating both of the Carrie’s chose to stay in Waterloo, set-up their own marketing company and use their experience to support the great Waterloo tech community locally as well as companies outside of the region.
