Post-mortem exam schedule for female remains found in Cambridge

The remains of a young woman are at the Centre for Forensic Sciences in Toronto Monday morning, awaiting an autopsy to learn more about how her body ended up in the Grand River.
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Homicide Staff Sgt. John Goodman hopes the post-mortem will reveal more answers.
“At this time all we know that we have is we have a young female adult remains. We’ll be waiting for the post-mortem, we should have a better idea as to the time that the body was decomposing in the water.”
The body was found in Cambridge at the bank of the Grand at Water and Cedar Streets by a fisherman on Friday night.
Police called in the help of the Niagara Regional Police dive team and coroner’s office to safely remove the body.
