No lockout for Guelph Transit

Riders of Guelph Transit can breathe a sigh of relief this morning.

The city and the union representing its workers have reached a tentative agreement, heading off a lockout that was slated to begin this morning.

Details of the agreement will not be released until after the deal has been ratified.

The agreement was reached following day long meetings with a provincially-appointed conciliator.
