According to a recent survey, this summer could see 18% of employers here in Kitchener looking to hire.
The latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey predicts a modest hiring climate for July-September.
Nikki Sharpley of Manpower’s Kitchener office tells 570 News these jobs are mostly part-time, temporary positions.
“Typically, in the summer you’re looking at vacation coverage to fill in those gaps…the expectation is that when these people return from vacation, then a lot of companies will revisit their needs.”
Sharpley adds the jobs are mainly in the manufacturing and service sectors.
