Rob Ford ready for a comeback

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has only spent a month in rehab, but is already talking about his comeback.

In fact, he tells The Toronto Sun he already has a rehab departure date in mind and can’t wait to jump back into the race for mayor.

He says he’ll be back on Canada, a month from today, and after two months in rehab.

Ford spoke to The Sun’s Joe Warmington from the Greenstone facility in Muskoka where he says he has learned a lot about himself and others, admitting he has no one to blame for his substance abuse but himself.

He says he misses the people of Toronto and is looking forward to trying to make amends for all that has happened, including the racist, homophobic, and misogynistic remarks that were captured on tape.

Although he acknowledges there is more rehab work to do over the next month, he is getting better, and has been given a foundation for life without substances, and plans are being made to help him once he leaves by noon hour on June 30 to be back on the campaign trail on Canada Day.
