Pay raise for Guelph Police

Guelph Police officers are getting a raise.
The Guelph Police Services Board announced it has reached a two-year contract settlement after negotiations in 2013 and into this year.
The two-year contract will see a 5.5% increase over the course of the agreement. The increase also means salaries are now in line with what officers of the Waterloo Regional Police Service, and the Guelph Fire Department make.
The Guelph Police Association is made up of 188 uniform members and 90 civilian members.
