Mobile payment business Square moving into downtown Kitchener

The mobile payments business Square will be opening an office in the heart of Canada’s Technology Triangle in Waterloo Region.
The company, who is based out of San Francisco, will be setting up shop at 305 King Street this spring.
Students from the University of Waterloo will be recruited by the company to work at their downtown Kitchener location.
The Square Reader was the first product released by the company and is used to accept credit card payments by connection to a mobile device’s audio jack.
