The second annual Waterloo Region Rain Barrel Blitz is being held today.
$10 from each barrel sold will support local groups.
This includes supporting Easter Seals Kids, young Scouts, enhancing community gardens, improving school recycling programs, and enriching children’s education and recreational programs in K-W.
On top of raising money for a good cause, officials remind residents that rain barrels help conserve clean and re-useable water and are great when water restrictions have been put in place.
