A special weather statement is in effect for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
Environment Canada is calling for significant rainfall tonight into early Tuesday morning.
Some areas could see between 20-40 mm of rain.
The weather authority also warns that the rain is expected to switch to snow Monday night over regions east of Georgian Bay where 5 to 10 cm of snow is possible by Tuesday morning.
A rainfall warning has been put into effect for Mount Forest, Arthur, and Northern Wellington County
